Is this a book that you'd read?

For this post, I am going to leave a little sample of a book writing, and I just wanted to put a poll out there to see if anyone would be interested in reading it. Serious warning, this is not for the faint of heart.

" Fear consumed her mind every night. Her forehead brushed against old coats and tears rolled down her face. The sound of her racing heart seemed to echo against the closet walls. Sometimes, when he entered the room the tiny light under the door would trigger a harsh deep breath. The moments he spent in the room felt like forever, but finally, when he left it was like a weight lifted off of her shoulders.

Nine months in that closet seemed like forever. It seemed to get smaller with each passing day. She didn't understand how prince charming developed into a monster so quickly. The promises he made dug an early grave into her memory. She felt like she had lost all control over her life. He chose what she wore, what she ate, and of course when she left the closet.

Ironically, she didn't want to leave the closet. The small space was nothing compared to what she faced on the outside world. Facing the verbal and physical abuse took more strength then hiding. With a simple turn of the doorknob, the nightmare became a reality. The monster would yank her from the closet as hard as he could. She found strength in the clock, watching the clock helped her to concentrate. Each passing minute felt like an eternity.

He blamed her for everything. The worst beatings came from his bottled up frustration. He would slam his things around like a child. Once, he came home from work angry. He flung the closet door open and threw her down the back porch steps. She laid there a while, hoping that he would leave. When she didn't get up, he got angrier. He rushed down the steps at her dragging her limp body through the grass.

By this time, she was looking up at him. His heartless soul pierced through his cold brown eyes. His fist was balled into the sky as he hit her over and over again. The physical pain was nothing compared to the embarrassment she felt. She had succumbed to weakness and became everything she never wanted to be. She had become a self-mutilator and she blamed herself. He was more frightening then he had ever been before and Molly was frozen by fear. "Is he going to kill me?" She wondered "Is this the end?"

{....Little did Molly know, her story had only begun. Soon she would find her strength. What seemed like a nightmare now would become an inspiration....]
